Start with the CLIConnect over MCP

ChalkSurf exposes two agent-facing transports:

  • The CLI is a good fit for shells, CI jobs, local files, and workflows that need stable JSON envelopes and exit codes.
  • The MCP server is a good fit for agent hosts with native MCP and OAuth support.

The command and tool reference pages are generated from the same implementation deployed by ChalkSurf. Curated pages explain how to connect safely; generated pages show the exact current contract.
